I would like to thank all of my
students and their families for the cards, gifts and contributions to the
Teacher's Purse. I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity.
You are all in my prayers throughout
this Christmas Season. May God bless you all!

THIRD GRADE SERVICE PROJECTS

“We cannot all do great
things, but we can do small things with great love.”
Mother Teresa
1.
Personal Health Care Bags and Letters
WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ITEMS YOU COLLECT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
Please send in travel size personal
health care products (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.).
These are the type you might get in a
hotel when
you travel. Please ask friends, neighbors and other family member to collect
these for you. Bring them in anytime – we will collect them until late spring
when we will write notes and create the individual bags. The bags will be
donated through the parish to appropriate organizations.
2. Thanksgiving Dinner Collection
We helped the Student Council create
dinner for those in need. The third grade provided mashed potatoes. Thank you
for your generosity.
3. Cards for Senior Citizens
We created Christmas cards and
bookmarks for senior citizens in our parish to wish them joy during the
Christmas season.
4. Lend A Helping Hand
We completed acts of kindness for the
people who are part of our lives everyday.
5. Epiphany Toy Collection
We are
collecting toys through the Spanish classes for needy children. The presents
will be sent to several organizations including: Su Casa Center in St. Charles
Borromeo Parish, Santa Maria Center, St. Julie Billiard Center, Beech Acres
Foster Home Program, Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority Residents
Programs and Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati, among others. These
organizations will distribute the toys among the many disadvantaged children
they serve.
The toy donation is not mandatory but it could give our students another mission
opportunity. Every little bit helps and this donation could be very meaningful
to many families.

*recognizing that Jesus dies, has risen, and will come again
*appreciating that the Holy Spirit came to the disciples on Pentecost and
continues to help the Church
*following the example of the Apostles and our other ancestors in faith in
leading lives of service and holiness
We will also begin to study the Liturgical Year and the Liturgical Seasons.
We will work on this throughout the rest of the year.
