Parents!

Keep up with what your child is doing in class, when homework is due and when tests are assigned.
They should be bringing their graded tests / papers / homework home for you to see.

Remember, if you want to know how your child is doing in Spanish class - check progress book. Don't forget participation in class is part of their grade.
Tests, quizzes and homework grades are posted there for grades 4 - 8.

Please keep in mind that all students, except first graders, may take their folder and notes home as long as they bring it back for class.
Spanish is for a grade, therefore, it helps if  they review the material covered in class at least twice a week.
Repetition is important when learning a language.

If a student is absent, it is the student's responsibility to be prepared for the following class.

For grade 1 - no tests or homework is given.

For grades 2 - 3 - some homework might be given and for third grade at least one test is given a trimester.

For grades 4 -6 - there are usually two tests and homework assignments given a trimester

For grades 7 -8 - there are usually two to three tests each trimester as well as a grade for participation and 2or 3 homework assignments.

* This may vary according to progress.

Our philosophy: Mrs. Morales and Mrs. Sabla are job sharing.  Spanish is taught once a week to all students grades 1 - 8.  We both appreciate the importance of learning a second language.  This is a wonderful opportunity for them and we are happy to be their teachers.  Any questions, please free to contact us during our working days through email or at 388 - 5675. You may reach Mrs. Morales on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and Mrs. Sabla on Wednesdays.

Thanks, Seņora Sabla and Seņora Morales
