Tuition Assistance Policy   

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish provides tuition assistance to help parish day school families attend the school.  There are 3 funding opportunities for any family to make Catholic education affordable.  

Effective for the 2024-2025 school year, families applying for traditional tuition assistance are also required to apply for the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship. This includes families living in Ohio with students in kindergarten to grade 8. This requirement applies to both new and current families.   

The sources are available and are applied to tuition in this order:

2. Ohio EdChoice Scholarship & Expansion Program:  

• The Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program provides state-funded scholarships to Ohio students in grades K-12 to attend participating in private schools. Students may qualify for a Traditional EdChoice Scholarship based upon their designated public school or the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship based upon household income level. All Ohio students in grades K-12 are now eligible for some level of EdChoice Scholarship. Application and Renewal process for Ohio EdChoice Scholarship program opens February 1, 2024.

• Steps for first time application

2. 1. Submit Scholarship Request Form, along with proof of current address and child’s birth certificate to the private school. All forms can be emailed or submitted to the attention of Tammy Haynes in the Parish Office, [email protected].

1. 2. The private school will submit to EdChoice application for your child through the online secure application system, ONLY available to the private school.

DEADLINE TO APPLY for Archdiocese of Cincinnati and IHM Tuition Assistance is February 25, 2024. 

• Archdiocese of Cincinnati Tuition Assistance: One aspect of the One Faith, One Hope, One Love (1F1H1L) campaign started several years ago was to address the need of tuition assistance to families who otherwise might not be able to send their children to a Catholic school. Effective with the 2024 school year, these grants are for preschool and elementary school (preschool -8) and typically range from $250 to $1200 per qualified student. Please make sure to upload all supporting documents as required by FACTS management system.

• Immaculate Heart of Mary Tuition Assistance: Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish provides tuition assistance to help parish day school families (K-8) attend the school.  Active parishioners may apply for assistance by completing an application through FACTS account.

1. 5. When asked during the application process if you are applying for an "award" answer YES. This will allow you to apply for the Archdiocese CEF grant as well as the IHM in-house assistance.
