Biography

ABOUT MISS COYLE!

I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I attended St. Vivian's grade school and Roger Bacon High School.  I continued my Catholic education at the University of Dayton, receiving my bachelors degree in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Language Arts and Social Studies.  I also have a masters degree in administration.

I chose to join the Lalanne Program, a service program that places teachers in inner-city catholic schools, through the University of Dayton.  This allowed me to work toward my masters degree while gaining experience teaching in Catholic schools.  I was placed in Indianapolis, Indiana, teaching language arts and social studies to seventh and eighth grade students at St. Michael the Archangel School, on the west side of Indianapolis.  I continued to teach after the program at St. Michael until I decided to move back home and join the IHM family.

I believe that I was led to be a teacher in a Catholic school from a very early age.  My family was extremely involved in my education and passed down the love of learning and Catholic values that are evident in all that I do.  My passion for reading and writing has allowed me to connect with middle-aged students in order to excite them about learning and Christ.  I believe that every child can learn and deserves a safe environment where they can meet high expectations.

I am also the assistant varsity girls and boys volleyball coach at McNicholas High School and a huge Bengals fan.  In my spare time, I love to play volleyball and other intramural sports, read, and watch football.
