Good Afternoon IHM Families,
We are in the midst of registration. We are asking that all registration forms be turned in to the office ASAP if you plan to re-enroll your child for the 2018-2019 school year. This is the time to apply for tuition assistance if parents have any concerns about being able to make tuition payments next year. A confidential form needs to be submitted in order for assistance to be determined and awarded. Those who applied for Archdiocesan assistance from the One Faith, One Hope, One Love financial assistance program available to all families in our Archdioceseare also eligible for our school tuition assistance. We have been working to put more tuition scholarships for assistance in place. However, the form must be completed and submitted to FACTS in order to receive these scholarship funds. Please go online under the Admissions tab for these forms or more information.
Last Wednesday all families received the name of an elderly parishioner to send a Valentine card to. Please make sure to get these in the mail ASAP. This simple act brings so much happiness to the recipients.
Tonight there is a confirmation meeting for those preparing to be confirmed beginning at 7:15pm.
On Monday, all students who helped out during the Open House can be out of uniform. Students must present the OOU pass to their homeroom teacher. There has been a change in the lunch menu. The cafeteria will be serving chicken nuggets and fries. There is a PTO meeting at 7pm.
On Tuesday, most classes will celebrate St. Valentine’s Day with classroom parties. Please refer to your child’s homeroom teacher’s newsletter for more details. Since Valentine’s Day falls on Ash Wednesday, the parties will happen a day early. Our 2nd grade will be going to Taft Theatre. There is a faculty meeting after school.
On Wednesday, we will attend all school Mass at 8:15am for Ash Wednesday led by 5R. All families are invited to attend Mass with us on this Holy Day. All students may wear a red/pink/white tops for Valentine’s day with their uniform bottoms.
On Friday, the 6th grade class will host an in-house field trip, Indian Artist on Tour.
On Sunday, all 7th graders are invited to participate in the weekend Mass and come to the Knight of Columbus breakfast for FREE. This is a delicious breakfast that is put on the third Sunday of every month. All are invited to attend.
The following Monday we are off school in observance of President’s Day.
I look forward to seeing the students back to school tomorrow.
