My name is Michelle Orlando. I hold an undergraduate degree from Ohio University (GO BOBCATS!) in Elementary Education and a master's degree from The Ohio State University in Speech-Language Pathology.  I began my career teaching in Arizona but quickly returned to my Ohio roots, to begin a career as an SLP.  I am certified in Orton Gillingham reading intervention and have worked as an SLP for the past 17 years.  I am excited to continue supporting students in the area of literacy this upcoming school year.  In addition, I will continue as your Jon Peterson Coordinator.

 

        This is will be my 6th year working at IHM.  I feel so blessed to be a part of a community that has served my children and family so well. I am excited to continue to be a part of such an amazing team, within the role of Speech-Language Pathologist and Jon Peterson Coordinator.  I have a strong passion for supporting those students who learn in differently. When working with students, my goal is to help each child maximize their strengths, strengthen skills identified in areas of need, believe in themselves, and dream BIG!
