My name is Michelle Orlando. I hold an undergraduate degree from Ohio University (GO BOBCATS!) in Elementary Education and a masters degree from The Ohio State University in Speech-Language Pathology. I began my career teaching in Arizona but quickly returned to my Ohio roots to begin a career as an SLP. My family and I have been parishioners at IHM for 8 years and have 3 children who attend IHM currently.
This is my first year working at IHM. I feel so blessed to be a part of a community that has served my children and family so well for the past 8 years. I am excited to join this amazing team within the role of Speech-Language Pathologist. I have a strong passion for supporting those students who learn in an untraditional manner and/or require support in areas of communication and swallowing disorders. I believe all children CAN learn and WILL learn if we get to know them as a whole person and discover the teaching style that will help them meet their potential. When working with students my goal is to help your child maximize their strengths, strengthen skills identified in areas of need, believe in themselves and dream BIG!
