Hello! I hope you all have a wonderful, restful summer.

 

I am so excited to continue my teaching journey here at IHM.

 

My wife and I moved from Portland, Oregon, to Cincinnati two summers ago. We wanted to be closer to her family, including our new nephew. We will be welcoming our own babies (yes, you read that correctly) later this year. I love the Reds, Skyline, and I currently attend Xavier University, so I'm trying my best to assimilate!

I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English Literature from Portland State University. I am finishing up my Master's in education at Xavier University. 

 

I love literature because it helps us not only make sense of the world around us, but also the world inside of us. I moved a lot as a child, and as a result, became a voracious reader. No matter what difficulties and triumphs I have faced in life, no matter how confusing and chaotic the world around me seems, there have always been books and poems to help make sense of everything.

 

I hope to pass this torch to the students in my classroom. I look forward to helping your children navigate the complex and beautiful world we inhabit.
