IHM School Newsletter

April 17th, 2019

Good Afternoon IHM Families,

With Easter break beginning tomorrow, I can feel the energy and excitement of our entire school community. As I walk through the school, I see the Jesus Tree Bulletin Boards in each of the rooms which serves as a constant reminder of our faith and the foundation of our school. I am touched by the many student discussions I have been having about Holy Week and our Easter Celebration.

Once we return from Easter Break, we will be less than 2 weeks from our annual Walk-A-Thon. This is the school’s only fundraiser each year. Although the PTO does fundraisers throughout the school year which greatly supports our students and staff programming, the funds raised from the WAT go directly into the school’s annual budget.  I thank you for your support and participation. Funds raised will be used for additional curriculum and supplies for the Makerspace Lab. We will also use funds from the WAT for teacher Professional Development throughout the school year.

WAT packets will come home to all students on Monday, April 29th. However, I wanted to share the link for online donations, as I know students may want to begin their fundraising over the Easter break as they visit family and friends.

Online donations:

We have also included an electronic version of the Sponsorship Form. A hard copy will be sent home after Easter Break. Again, thank you for your continued support of our school.

Many blessings to you all during this Holy Season,

Mrs. Devine

The Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) is a group of churches, who take turns hosting homeless families who are part of the network. Families sleep and eat breakfast and dinner at the host churches for a period of one week before moving on to another host congregation. During the day, children go to school.
