Immaculate Heart of Mary School third grade students worked for weeks on an African American research project in honor of Black History Month. Students were required to research and type an informational writing piece on an influential person of their choice. They brought their special person to life by creating a doll using a 2-liter bottle. Completed research and artwork was showcased in the school library where other grades were invited to stop by to learn more about the amazing people who have changed the world.
