Expectations

Our theater department takes great pride in the production value of each show. This would not be possible without the time and dedication it takes from staff, students, and parents!

We want to make sure that this process is fair for all involved. With that being said, it is preferred that actors only have 2 unexcused absences throughout the process of the production. Obviously, we are aware that accidents, illnesses, and emergencies happen, but in order to ensure equity among all who are involved, if your actor misses 3 or more rehearsals, they run the risk of being re-casted.

*EARLY DISMISSAL* - We understand that some students have overlapping commitments for rehearsal days. If an actor has a regularly scheduled conflict where they need to leave 15 minutes (4:15pm) at the end of the practice, we ask that this is communicated to the production team. We ask that the actor is accountable and leaves on their own as the production team will most likely be working with actors / crew members.  Additionally, this actor will have an ensemble role to prevent rehearsing without a lead for the duration of our rehearsal process. This actor will also need to catch up on their own with the dances and songs via the Google Drive tracks and rehearsal videos.

You will need to be able to attend all tech week rehearsals and performances in order to participate (April 27th – May 2nd)

NO EXCEPTIONS

Thank you for understanding!

Performances Dates and Times:

Thursday, 4/30 @ 7pm

Friday, 5/1 @ 7pm

Saturday, 5/2 @ 7pm

All located at the Anderson Center Theater - 7850 Five Mile Road

Rehearsals

The rehearsal schedule is listed on the schedule document at the bottom of this page, and the layout is as follows:

  • The first two weeks of rehearsals will be dedicated to learning the music for 3 days a week
  • This schedule will be given out later. Please see the TENTATIVE schedule below
  • Tech week rehearsals will be from 4:00pm - 6:30pm and the Anderson Center Theater

Parent - Involvement

This is an “all hands-on deck” extra-curricular activity and parent volunteering is crucial for each production to be spectacular! Parents will be expected to attend an informational meeting on January 12th immediately following the first rehearsal at 4:30pm. This year’s participation fee will be $150.00. Please come with a check made payable to “Immaculate Heart of Mary School” with the “IHM Players Peach” in the memo line. If your actor needs a scholarship, please see our IHM Players Parent Representative at the commencement of the meeting OR email [email protected].

Thank you for wanting to be a part of our program and supporting us. We would not be able to put on a production such as this without the support and understanding of our community!

See you at the stage,

Katie Bauer
