Hello and welcome to my bio page.   I graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and from Northern Kentucky University with a master’s degree in accounting.  After teaching for 8 years, I changed careers to work in corporate banking where I spent 23 years before retiring.

I teach junior high math at IHM. Math is a subject students will use everyday so I feel it's necessary to take a wholistic approach. I like to use real-world examples giving students opportunities to understand why math is so important. Students who put forth a sincere effort in my class will always succeed. I expect all students to come to class prepared not only with the right material, but also with the right frame of mind. 

My approach to teaching is to prepare my students for what lies ahead not only in high school but also beyond. The foundations for self-motivation and self-discipline are laid in junior high. 

I love working with the students at IHM. I am excited to come to school everyday!
