Hello!  My name is Mrs. Katie McHugh and I am so excited to be teaching at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. My husband and I are long-time, active parishioners in the parish and have two children who attend IHM as well one at McNicholas High School. 

I studied at Xavier University where I earned two Bachelor's Degrees in both Elementary Education and Special Education. I then continued my love of learning by earning my Master's Degree in Educational Administration. I spent six wonderful years teaching in Norwood City Schools. After having our first child, we decided I would stay home and raise our children while they were young. I never stopped learning though and completed 4 more college courses, and attended multiple educational workshops during my time as a full-time mom. I returned to the classroom at IHM as a kindergarten teacher and then made the switch to the intervention department where I have been ever since. 

I love being in the classroom to share my love of our faith and learning with students. I enjoy helping students of all ages reach their fullest potential while deepening their faith in God. Each day I learn from the students I work with!
