About Mrs. Densler

I'm a Cincinnati native through and through. I attended St. Gertrude for grade school, Loveland for high school, and earned my bachelors degree from the University of Cincinnati in Middle Childhood Education with a focus in English Language Arts and Social Studies. I've always loved working with children from a young age. I knew I would be a teacher when I forced my two younger siblings to play school in our basement -- worksheets and all! This year will be my 5th year of teaching.

When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with family and friends. You might find us hiking, watching movies, spending time outside, or playing games together. Family and friends are an extremely important part of my life. When I'm not with them, you'll find me reading, going to the gym, running, or watching the newest Marvel movies. I've run countless Spartan Races, Tough Mudders, a marathon, and a 50k. Most of the time you'll find me reading. Since 2019, I've kept track of how many books and pages I've read. So far, I've read almost 50,000 pages and almost 150 books in two and a half years. You'll find me reading anything from children's literature to young adult to Star Wars to adult fiction. A lot of the time, I will also read what I see my students reading in the classroom.

One of my goals as a teacher is to spread my love for reading to students. I firmly believe that if a student enjoys reading to their own capacity, school will come easier to them as so much of learning stems from reading.

I'm beyond excited for this new chapter of my life and I look forward to helping the students grow into the best person they can become!
