Hi! My name is Elaine Connelly, and I have been teaching for 46 years, 44 of them here at IHM! I have taught first and second grades, and I was a resource teacher for grades 1 through 8 during my first year of teaching. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Edgecliff College, and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Xavier University. I became a teacher because I love kids, and I enjoy seeing their growth in knowledge, experience, and spirituality over the course of a year. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing children working hard and understanding difficult concepts. My husband and I live in Batavia. I enjoy reading, hiking, working in my yard, and visiting my sister, who lives on Kentucky Lake.
