My name is Karen Sanders and I have been the Librarian and Second Grade Assistant for 27 years. It is a job that I love. I have the unique advantage of knowing the students from the time they are in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

Reading has always been a source of great joy for me. Open a book and it can transport you in time, space, or anywhere in the world. Reading stimulates the imagination, the creativity, and the emotions of the reader. I consider it a priviledge to be able to help the student find that one certain book that ignites the spark of reading-one that will last a lifetime.

My husband, Fred, and I have been members of the parish for 35 years. We have two sons, both IHM graduates, and a beautiful daughter-in-law. I am truly blessed!
