Tuition Assistance Policy   

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish provides opportunities for tuition assistance to help parish day school families attend the school.  There are 3 funding opportunities for any family to make Catholic education affordable.  

 **Families applying for traditional tuition assistance are also required to apply for the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship. This includes families living in Ohio with students in kindergarten to grade 8. This requirement applies to both new and current families. 

The sources are available and are applied to tuition in this order:  

1. Ohio EdChoice Scholarship & Expansion Program:  

The Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program provides state-funded scholarships to Ohio students in grades K-12 to attend participating in private schools. Students may qualify for a Traditional EdChoice Scholarship based upon their designated public school or the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship based upon household income level. All Ohio students in grades K-12 are now eligible for some level of EdChoice Scholarship. Application and Renewal process for Ohio EdChoice Scholarship program opens February 1, 2026.   

• Steps for first time application 

1. Submit Scholarship Request Form, along with proof of current address and child’s birth certificate to the private school. All forms can be emailed or submitted to the attention of Tammy Haynes in the Parish Office, [email protected]. Forms MUST be “wet signed”

2. The private school will submit the Ed Choice application for your child through the online secure application system - ONLY available to the private school. 

3. The parent completes the income verification process, by creating an OHID account - Directions for this process can be found HERE. 

4. The Department will mail notifications regarding all scholarship decisions.  

• Steps to Renew a current scholarship 

1. Submit the Scholarship Renewal Form to the private school, along with proof of current address. All forms can be emailed or submitted to the attention of Tammy Haynes in the Parish Office, [email protected]. Forms MUST be ‘wet signed”

2. Archdiocesan (CEF)

Archdiocese of Cincinnati Catholic Education Fund: these grants are for preschool and elementary school students (preschool – 8th). Please make sure to upload all supporting tax documents as required by the FACTS system. 

3. Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) 

Immaculate Heart of Mary Tuition Assistance: Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish provides tuition assistance to help parish day school families (K-8) attend the school.  Active parishioners may apply for assistance by completing an application through FACTS.

**To qualify for the IHM assistance, you must meet all deadlines**

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION and all required tax documents for CEF and IHM Assistance is February 13, 2026 – application must be in “verified status” by February 28, 2026.

Parents complete ONE application for BOTH options – Signin (factsmgt.com)

• Simple steps to apply: 

1. Choose "Create a user name and password" or if you already have an account, click "Sign In" 
2. Then click on the Start Application link 
3. Select the appropriate school year (2026-2027) 
4. Complete the steps as prompted to apply for financial assistance 
5. When asked during the application process if you are applying for an "award" answer YES. This will allow you to apply for the Archdiocese CEF grant as well as the IHM in-house assistance.
