Hello! I hope you all have a wonderful, restful summer.

 

I am so excited to continue my teaching journey here at IHM.

 

My wife and I moved from Portland, Oregon, to Cincinnati in the summer of 2020. We wanted to be closer to her family. And we wanted to start our own! I am the proud father of twins (boy-girl), who are now almost two years old! I love the Reds, Skyline, and I attended Xavier University, so I'm trying my best to assimilate!

I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English Literature from Portland State University. I am finishing up my Master's in education at Xavier University. 

 

I love literature because it helps us not only make sense of the world around us, but also the world inside of us. I moved a lot as a child, and as a result, became a voracious reader. No matter what difficulties and triumphs I have faced in life, no matter how confusing and chaotic the world around me seems, there have always been books and poems to help make sense of everything.

 

I hope to pass this torch to the students in my classroom. I look forward to helping your children navigate the complex and beautiful world we inhabit.
