My name is Heather Walsh. This is my second year teaching at IHM and I am so excited to continue my journey on the amazing 6th grade team! This year I am blessed to take on both Math and Religion! I have been a long-term substitute teacher at IHM for the past 2 years. Prior to teaching I spent the past several years raising my children, all of whom attended, or still attend, IHM. Prior to staying home with to raise my kids, I spent my professional life in a law firm where I was an attorney for 8 years. The IHM school and parish are such a wonderful place to have children and I am very excited to be a part of the team that gets to grow these young minds!
I attended University of Cincinnati where I earned my BA in Political Science and I then went on to receive my doctorate from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. I converted to Catholicism in November of 2014 and love to share my story! In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking and watching my kids in their various activities. I have 6 kids and a wonderful husband, a couple of turtles (who have become class pets) and very happy dog.
I am so thrilled to be part of this community and can't wait to see where the future takes us! Go Crusaders!
