Our Junior High Students, under the direction of Mrs. Tina Ramundo, worked with Magnified Giving this school year to learn how to be the philanthropists of tomorrow. The culmination of their year-long project was submitting a check from to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Magnified Giving awards banquet. Congratulations to our students for becoming the leaders of the future!
Uploaded May 04, 2018Just a typical student email: This video accompanied with "Your pronunciation of the word conch is intruding on our childhood. This is the episode of Spongebob everyone was referring to today. Enjoy. :) "
We started reading Lord of the Flies in 8th grade ALA last week. LOVE this novel and the ensuing discussions! Regardless of grade level, a great car ride or dinner time conversation---what qualities are a must for a leader? Throw in some what-if's, require examples for back-up or clarification, and ask for real-life/kid-world applications...Fascinating responses on this one, and I always walk away wiser with the insight of our young people. Unless, of course, everyone is in an emotional meltdown because I am saying conch "wrong"....;) I do love my job!
